Plot
Based on the same story that produced the classic musical 'The Sound of Music', this is the story of Maria, who leaves her life in a convent to take up the responsibility of taking care of Captain Trapp's children.
Characters
The Maria & Georg:
Maria - She looks just like and acts like Julie Andrew's Maria.
Georg - He resembles the real Georg von Trapp in looks and personality. Emotionally distant from his children, but not in the way Georg von Trapp is in the film.
The Children:
Rupert - middle school
Hedwig - just graduated to the girls school. Easily the most stubborn of the children and the last one to hold out to Maria's charms.
Werner - 4th year
Johanna - 1st year
Martina - 5 years old, the most quiet of the von Trapp children.
Agathe - 3 years old
Maria - A sickly 8 Years old stricken with Scarlet Fever. Maria is in charge of instructing her. Probably the most complex of the von Trapp children. A Depressed Little girl, scarlet fever has made her physically weak. Dearly misses her mother.

Differences from the film
The anime is a mix of Maria's Novel & The Musical. The anime focus is on the Children and Maria's relationship to them. Maria & Georg's relationship is secondary in the anime. The children retain the names of the real von Trapp children. Interestingly this is a true anime born and bred in Japan. Redone in Italian, Spanish, but never in English.
